At HTNW we are here to preserve and conserve historic buildings and breathe life into heritage properties.

We are passionate about providing the highest quality experience to visitors and every person that passes through our doors.

Based predominantly across Lancashire but also into Greater Manchester, Merseyside and Cumbria, the Trust owns over 30 historic buildings in the north-west of England. These have been saved from destruction and put in to various good uses within communities for economic and social benefit.

Today our priority is to breathe new life into heritage properties which were once at risk and to share them with the communities of today and tomorrow. We are proud to work with hundreds of active volunteers in the field of conservation and restoration.

HTNW also operates a number of significant independent properties such as Lytham Hall on the Fylde Coast.

Our most recent restoration project concluded in November 2022 at Bank Hall, Bretherton, Chorley where the Grade II* Listed property has now been removed from the Historic England At Risk Register and has returned it to being a residential property in the form of 12 apartments and an exhibition demonstrating the impact local residents can have on saving historic buildings which is shown in its Prospect Tower.

Additionally in November 2022 Lytham Hall was awarded the prestigious Restoration of the Year Award presented by the Historic Houses Association.
